CONE ZONES: Magnolia Road one-day full closure September 28

Closure needed to accommodate concrete pour for guardrail footings

Boulder County, Colo. – In order to
safely pour and set the concrete needed for the guardrail replacement project
currently taking place on Magnolia Road, Boulder County Transportation will
need to fully close the road to all travelers from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., on
Thursday, Sept. 28.

This work is weather dependent and the schedule is subject
to change should rain or snow be forecast.

The
closure will take place approximately 250-feet up from the intersection with
Boulder Canyon Drive/CO Highway 119. Travelers will need to detour through
Nederland to CO Hwy 119 in order to access the majority of Magnolia Road.

Emergency
service providers have been contacted and are prepared to assist should an
event occur on either side of the closure.

After
the closure is lifted, the road will go back to one-lane that is controlled by
a traffic signal 24-hours a day, seven days a week. The entire project is
anticipated to be complete by the end of October, weather permitting.
