Cone Zone: East Arapahoe Road resurfacing project starts Monday, Aug. 7

Road reduced to one lane
between Lakota Ranch Road and Erie town limits at times during work

Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder
County Transportation will begin a roadway resurfacing project on the eastern
portion of Arapahoe Road at 8 a.m., Monday, Aug. 7. The project limits are from
Lakota Ranch Road on the western side to the Town of Erie limits on the eastern
side.

In
order to safely accommodate the project, the road will be reduced to one lane
between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. During this
time, traffic control personnel will be used to move travelers safely around
the work zone. There may be times when the lane closure is needed overnight. If
this is required, temporary traffic signals will be used to move travelers
around the work area. Cyclists will be asked to merge into the general travel
lane during the project. Please use caution while driving through this
construction zone.

The
project is expected to last until the end of October 2017.
