Community Meeting to discuss prescribed fire for Ron Stewart Preserve at Rabbit Mountain

Wednesday, June 28, 6:30 - 8 p.m. in Longmont

Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County Parks & Open Space plans to conduct prescribed burns at the Ron Stewart Preserve at Rabbit Mountain during late summer/early fall 2017. The burn window is set for sometime between July 17 through Sept. 30.

The park will only be closed during active ignition days.

This is part of a 5-year project to treat 3,444 acres, with a goal of burning up to 350 acres per year.
