Commissioners Honor Outstanding County Programs at Annual Pinnacle Awards

year there were 15 finalist projects chosen to be highlighted and considered for
top awards.

Boulder County, Colo. - Each year, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) hold the
Pinnacle Awards as a way to recognize the collaborative, innovative, and
impressive projects that have been implemented across all county departments
and offices over the last year. In a ceremony on April 6, the BOCC announced
the winners of the 2017 Pinnacle Awards.

Work teams are encouraged to submit innovative projects for
considerations, and the commissioners narrow down all submissions to a set of
finalist projects. This year there were 15 finalist projects chosen to be
highlighted and considered for top awards. Seven projects were then chosen as
winners in six categories – Innovation, Public Service, Stewardship &
Sustainability, Public Involvement, Collaboration & Teamwork, and
Commissioners’ Choice (the commissioners decided to honor two projects with
their Commissioners’ Choice this year).

In a ceremony on April 6, staff members from all 15 finalist
projects were present for the Pinnacle Award Ceremony. Each finalist project
had the opportunity to make a roughly three minute film explaining their
project and those videos were played during the ceremony. All videos are
for viewing on YouTube
. The BOCC then announced the winners for 2017.
