Closure Notice: Boulder County Clerk & Recorder’s offices will be closed to the public Wednesday, Aug. 16

Offices will reopen the following day at 8 a.m.

Boulder County, Colo. - On Wednesday, Aug. 16, all Boulder County Clerk & Recorder’s offices
will be closed for employee development. This includes the Boulder, Lafayette,
and Longmont offices and all three divisions: Elections, Motor Vehicle, and
Recording. We will reopen the following day - Aug. 17 - at 8 a.m. and resume
normal hours of operation.

Onsite services will not be available. We advise
those who need onsite service to visit an office location on the days before or
after the closure. Additionally, we encourage our Boulder County clients to
visit
bouldercounty.gov and search for the service they need to see if the particular service
they are seeking is available online, such as vehicle registration renewal or
voter registration.

This specific closure date was chosen from
historical data as to minimize the impact on the public. Mid-month is
historically when the offices receive the least number of visitors.

“Employee development and staff cohesion is
important to providing excellent public service,” stated Hillary Hall, Boulder
County Clerk & Recorder. “There is no time during our normal business hours
to bring our staff all together from all three branches. This all-staff meeting
and training will help in team building and our ultimate goal of providing
excellent public service to our residents. We have worked hard to provide
advanced public notice and I thank the community for their understanding and
flexibility with this one-day closure.”
