Boulder County, Colo. - On
March 27, 2017 at 5:39 PM Boulder County Communication Center received a report
of a fallen climber at 9 Kneale Road, located in Eldorado State Canyon
Park. Deputies from the Boulder County
Sheriff’s Office, members of the Rocky Mountain Fire Protection District, Rocky
Mountain Rescue (RMR) Group, Boulder County Victim Advocates and Emergency
Services responded.

Upon
arrival, rescuers located a 32 two year-old male who fell from approximately 60
feet off of the Recon Wall on the “Evictor” climbing route. The climber
sustained moderate injuries and his evacuation initiated at about 7:15 PM.

According
to witnesses the climber was very experienced, approximately 15 years and
familiar with the difficult climbing route.
RMR wheeled the climber down from the fall sight after evacuation. He was transported to Boulder Community
Hospital for additional evaluation at 8:07 PM.
