Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder
County, the Town of Superior, and the cities of Boulder, Longmont, Louisville,
and Lafayette are partnering with RTD to host another amazing Bus to Work Day
on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017! Seasoned
veteran riders, the occasional rider, and curious newbies are all invited to
join in the fun!
What is Bus to Work Day?
It’s
a day to celebrate those who commute to and from Boulder County communities on
the bus. To celebrate all riders, we want you to “Ride, Relax, Repeat” and use
the time spent on the bus to travel stress-free and give your car a break.
Bus Stop = Fun Stop!
Throughout
the morning of Sept. 28, events, including everyone’s favorite breakfast
stations, will take place at various bus stops and stations. Visit the Bus to
Work Day website atwww.BusToWorkDay.org to learn about
all the events and locations set up for those who choose transit over their
cars.
“The
City of Lafayette was thrilled with residents’ response to the recent MyRide
transit pass give-away in August,” said Lafayette Mayor Christine Berg. “We’re
hoping our participation in this year’s Bus to Work Day will continue to
inspire residents to look at alternative transportation options to reduce
traffic congestion and vehicle emissions.”
Why Ride the Bus?
There
are so many reasons, but here are some great ones:
- Help the environment by reducing additional vehicle emissions
- Save on monthly expenses by cutting back on money you’d spend on gas and vehicle maintenance
- Let someone else do the driving and travel stress-free
- Meet new friends and catch up with old ones while riding.
