Boulder County Voter and Election Information

Attention Boulder County Voter:

It is election season again with the Primary Election just over a month away.

This is a great time for everyone to check their voter registration and make sure it is up-to-date – especially if you have moved in the last year or have not voted in a while.

This year, the Democratic and Republican parties are holding primaries. All active voters registered with these parties will receive a ballot in the mail.

If you are an unaffiliated voter, you will not automatically receive a ballot in the mail, but can affiliate with a party participating in the primary election up to and including Election Day in order to vote.

What is on the Democratic and Republican Ballots this Primary? Ballot content is available online at www.BoulderCountyVotes.org. Note that the presidential contest is not on the ballot.

Want to track your ballot during the Primary or General Election? Regardless of whether you are participating in the primary election, all voters may sign-up for Ballot Track, a free service that sends you messages by email, text, or phone when your mail ballot packet has been printed, mailed, and received back by Boulder County Elections during election periods.

New to Colorado? In case you missed it, Colorado is an all mail ballot state – meaning we send you a mail ballot for every election in which you are eligible. But, if you would like to vote in person, just visit a Voter Service and Polling Center instead. A list of locations will be provided to you in your mail ballot packet during every election. Important Primary Dates:

May 31

✭ Last day for voters who are affiliated with a political party to change or withdraw their affiliation if they wish to vote in a different party’s primary election.

June 6

✭ Ballots mailed to voters in the Democratic and Republican parties.

✭ Voting services available at Boulder County Clerk & Recorder’s Office in Boulder.

✭ All 24-hour Ballot Drop Boxes open.

June 20

✭ Voter Service and Polling Centers open.

✭ If eligible, last day to change your voter registration record and receive a ballot in the mail.

June 24

✭ Drive-by Ballot Drop-off locations open.

June 28
Primary Election

✭ Ballot Drop-off and voting services available 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Ballots must be received by 7 p.m. to be counted.
