Boulder County Seeks Volunteers to join the Citizen Ranger Corps
Application deadline is Friday, Nov. 18.
Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County is now accepting applications for volunteers to join the Citizen Ranger Corps. Volunteers with the Citizen Ranger Corps hike, bike, or ride a horse on scenic trails while providing park visitors with information about local parks and open space, recreational opportunities, and regulations. Volunteers will be trained to lead and assist staff with work projects, visitor studies, community outreach, and emergency operations.
Volunteers attend five monthly academy trainings that cover park patrol, emergency operations, forest ecology and fire management, principles of education and outreach, multiple-use trail issues, and more. This year’s monthly trainings take place the first Saturday of each month January through May.
Volunteers must be at least 18 or older. The application deadline is Friday, Nov. 18.
