Boulder County named 13th Healthiest Workplace in America
Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder
County was recognized by Healthiest Employer, LLC as the 13th Healthiest
Workplace in America on Sept. 26 during the 2016 Healthiest 100 Workplace in
America conference.
“We
believe preventative health measures improve employee health and morale, and as
an organization, we work to provide every employee the tools they need, and then
reward them for participating,” said Julia Yager, Human Resources Director for
Boulder County.
Employers
are evaluated across six key areas related to employee health: culture and
leadership commitment, foundational components, annual planning, communications
and marketing, programming and interventions, and reporting and analysis.
Boulder
County received 43rd out of 100 during last year’s conference. The
increase in ranking is a result of the continued commitment and dedication
Boulder County has to employee well-being.
“Our
wellness program coordinator, Emily I. Cooper, has spent the past year really
working on ways to reach every employee, and help them access the wellness
benefits we provide,” Yager explained. “She’s a great ambassador for the
culture of wellbeing Boulder County promotes, and a champion for the wellness
program.”
The
Healthiest 100 is an award presented by the Healthiest Employer, LLC, an
organization dedicated to helping organizations manage employee health and
wellness.
