Clerk & Recorder Hillary Hall will host a webinar to help explain what categories and groups of ballots are left to
be counted after Election Day and how election night reporting will take place.

Every election there are “categories” of ballots that will be counted
and have the potential to be counted at the end of the 8th
day after the election. For instance,
military and overseas mail ballots can be received up until the 8th
day after the election and still be counted.

In this webinar, Clerk Hall will review all the types of categories
(buckets, if you will) of ballots that the parties and candidates should expect
to be remaining the day after the election.

“I wanted to host this webinar in order to help bring clarity in terms of
how the final ballots are processed and what is and what may be outstanding the
day after the election,” stated Clerk Hall. “These remaining categories, or
buckets of ballots, are not unique to Boulder County, but given that we have many
competitive races, this information is especially important if a contest is
close. Since everyone will be very sleep deprived come Nov. 9, I thought
now would be a good time to share with everyone what to expect after the last
results from Election Day are posted.”

In addition, the webinar will also review with participants more
information about the election night results process.
