Boulder County Commissioners appoint Cindy Braddock as County Assessor
Appointment follows decision by current Boulder County Assessor
Jerry Roberts to retire in January
(Boulder County, Colo.) -- The Board of County Commissioners today appointed Cynthia (Cindy) Braddock to fill the role of Boulder County Assessor upon Jerry Roberts’ retirement in January.*
Under state statute, the Board of County Commissioners has the authority to fill vacancies in a county elected office until an election can be held. The appointment will serve in the role until the next general election, which, for this office will be November 2018.
Braddock has more than 20 years of experience in public service and has successfully filled a variety of roles within the Boulder County Assessor’s Office, the latest of which was serving as Chief Deputy Assessor. She has represented the Assessor’s Office on many county, state, and national committees and works regularly with other county departments to foster collaborative relationships.
Her impressive work history, experience, ability to embrace and encourage change, support for staff, and her passion for the job are just some of the reasons why the County Commissioners selected Braddock to replace Roberts in January. Braddock’s appointment will take effect after Roberts’ last day in office.
