Annual Junior and Senior Team Fishing Derby on Oct. 22

Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County Parks & Open Space will host the annual Junior and Senior Team Fishing Derby on Oct. 22 at the Wally Toevs Pond, rain or shine. Pairs consist of one senior aged 64 or older and one junior aged 15 or older fishing together as a team.

What: Junior and Senior Team Fishing Derby

When: Saturday, Oct. 22, 9 a.m. - Noon, rain or shine

Where: Wally Toevs Pond at Walden Ponds Wildlife Habitat
on 75th Street between Jay Road and Valmont in Boulder

Prizes will be awarded to the teams that catch the heaviest trout, have the largest age difference, or are first to catch the limit. The pond is stocked with rainbow trout. Artificial and live bait are both permitted at Wally Toevs Pond. Seniors must have a valid Colorado fishing license. A wheelchair accessible pier is available.
