DESCRIPTION:Public Meeting: Boulder County Housing Authority Moving to Work Supplement to Annual Plan\nStaff Contacts: Kelly Schulz\nLocation – Hybrid: Hearing Room and Zoom Webinar \nBoulder County Housing Authority: Moving to Work Supplement to Annual Plan; Boulder County Housing Authority (BCHA): This hearing is the conclusion of the 45-day comment period for the public to make comments on Boulder County Housing Authority’s 2027 Moving To Work (MTW) Supplement to the Annual Plan\, for the Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD). As a Public Housing Agency (PHA)\, BCHA is required to submit an annual plan to HUD every year 75 days before the start of our fiscal year which is considered January 1. The MTW Supplement to the Annual PHA Plan describes the reporting requirements for MTW Expansion PHAs and will be submitted once per year as part of the standard PHA Plan process. MTW Expansion PHAs will indicate the MTW activities they intend to implement from the list of MTW Waivers provided in the MTW Operations Notice. Each PHA must annually hold a public hearing regarding any changes to the goals\, objectives\, and policies and invite public comment regarding such changes. The PHA must also consult with and consider the recommendations of the resident advisory board(s) at the public hearing. HUD considers the annual public hearing essential to PHAs in determining whether changes to goals\, objectives\, and policies are needed. BCHA has made all information\nrelevant to the hearing and any determination by the agency regarding changes to the goals\, objectives\, and policies of the agency to be considered at the hearing\, available for public inspection at the principal office of the PHA during normal business hours. \nAction requested: Decision \nThere will be opportunities for live virtual and in-person public comment\, and written comments can be emailed to kschulz@bouldercounty.gov. \nMore information on virtual Commissioners’ Work Sessions can be found in the Open Meeting Portal agenda packet the day before. \nVirtual Attendee Link for Sept. 17 Morning Session \nCall-in information: 1-833-568-8864\, Webinar ID: 165 566 7112

SUMMARY:61st Street and Valmont Road Intersection Safety Improvements Project Public Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Join Public Works and consulting staff who are currently working on final designs for improvements to the intersection of 61st Street and Valmont Road that will increase the safety of all roadway users. The project team will present designs and discuss travel impacts when construction begins\, which will include a full closure of 61st/63rd Street between Valmont and Jay roads. \nThe proposed plans provide eastbound Valmont Road cyclists with a less-stressful alternative for making a left-hand turn onto northbound 61st Street. This will be accomplished by constructing an off-street box that will have the capacity to accommodate a queue of up to eight cyclists. \nThe project will reconstruct the existing intersection to provide clearly defined spaces for bicyclists and motorists that include the construction of an off-street bike box and the construction of a dedicated right-turn lane on southbound 61st Street at the intersection. Additionally\, the project will construct buffered bikeable shoulders on 61st Street just north of the intersection.
