Description
3 p.m. PUBLIC HEARING
County Attorney’s Office: Ordinance 2019-2 related to Methamphetamine-Affected Properties
ACTION REQUESTED: First Reading
Background
The Boulder County Commissioners recognize that methamphetamine use is an important public health problem that affects not only those using and making the drugs but all people who live in properties where meth has been made or used. In 2014, the statutes and regulations governing public health responses and enforcement when methamphetamine-affected properties are discovered were amended substantially. The County’s existing ordinance for handling methamphetamine was adopted in 2006 and is overdue for updating, in light of recent public health trends in this area and the amended governing laws. The Boulder County Commissioners will consider a revised ordinance in a first reading at a public hearing at 3 p.m. on Feb. 7, 2019.
