Families will take part in activities such as erosion control\, building the Flatirons\, and matching minerals with their commercial uses. \nAfter our outdoor exploration\, we will head to the Nederland Mining Museum to learn more about the mining process and experience the thrill of gold panning. DESCRIPTION:Join volunteer naturalists for an art program in nature! Volunteers will provide limited guidance in creating one or more drawings that capture elements of the natural world found at Hall Ranch. They will demonstrate how thumbnail sketches on a single page can create a coherent composition and share examples from well-known nature artists\, such as Linda Miller Feltner and John Muir Laws\, for inspiration.
