SUMMARY:Hammering On the Farm
DESCRIPTION:Drop by anytime from 10 a.m. to noon to watch the blacksmith work his craft. Listen to the clang-clang-clang of the hammer and the hum of the coal forge blower. Learn about blacksmithing tools\, such as hammers\, tongs\, anvils\, swage blocks\, and more. All ages welcome.\nRegistration for most programs begins on the 20th of the month before the event. \nRegistration is not required for this activity\, but you can still sign up to be notified in case the event is unexpectedly canceled. \nSign Up \nRegistration is optional through Discover Boulder County\, Parks & Open Space’s volunteer and event registration system. If you’re new to the system\, you’ll need to create an account. But it’s easy and we only use your contact information to communicate about events you register for. We will never sell or give your information to a third party.

DESCRIPTION:Summer Catfish Night is an opportunity for anglers to fish at night when Stearns Lake is usually closed.\nBring your family and friends and enjoy a summer night fishing at the lake! \n\nAnglers must have current Colorado fishing license (kids under 16 years  don’t need a license)\nOpen to shore fishing only\nArtificial and live bait permitted\nCheck-in required at the trailhead on South 104th Street\n\nRegistration not required. Event will not be canceled due to rain. \nNote: access the trailhead from Dillon Road on South 104th Street. You cannot get to the trailhead from 287 through Rock Creek Farm. \nBoulder County wants to ensure that everyone has equal access to our programs\, activities\, and services. DESCRIPTION:Join volunteer naturalists and astronomers from the Longmont Astronomical Society for a summer night astronomy program. Together\, we’ll learn about the night skies and view the celestial bodies residing in our galaxy and beyond.\nWhat are the auroras? We don’t often see the auroras in Colorado\, but this may be a good year for them to show their colors. Join us to learn about what they are and how to have a chance to catch the show. \nBring a chair or blanket\, a light jacket\, and a red flashlight\, and get ready to enjoy a night out with the family. The presentation is at the picnic shelter. It is followed by stargazing in the parking area.
