The 2013 Flood impacted areas where roads and creeks are in close proximity to each other. Construction and restoration projects must work together to ensure a more resilient corridor is created that will better protect against future flood events. There are five projects that will go to bid that will include both a road reconstruction component and a creek restoration component. For each of the five projects, Boulder County’s goal is to contract with a qualified contractor (with or without sub-contractors) who will be able to complete both the road and creek components (including vegetation) as part of a single construction project.
