Better Together: Community Resiliency Classes

The Better Together Classes have been developed by Boulder County and the City of Boulder in order to educate and empower the community to deal with personal crises and the impacts of natural hazards. The goal of the classes is to strengthen our collective capacities through disaster preparedness, response, and recovery in order to create overall disaster resilience.

The classes are taught in three sessions. We recommend participants take them as a series because the information builds progressively, but community members can also sign up for them individually if they have prior experience or are interested in a specific topic.

Do you have a plan for crisis? Do you know who you’re going to call if a flood or fire hits?

The goal of the classes is to strengthen our collective capacities through disaster preparedness, response, and recovery in order to create overall disaster resilience.

In these classes you will:

  1. Learn how to plan for and take action during disaster response and recovery to keep you and your family safe
  2. Develop your skills for identifying natural hazard risks and engaging with your community for disaster resilience
  3. Test your expertise in a disaster scenario and share your own insights for strengthening community-wide disaster resilience

We recommend you take the classes as a series since they build on one another, but you can also sign up for them individually if you have prior experience or are interested in a specific topic.

Registration is required and space is limited, so sign up today!
